Getting Help from NOVA

NOVA’s programs receive referrals from a wide variety of sources, including the criminal justice system, churches, Magellan Health Services and area hospitals, as well as from individuals seeking out NOVA’s services.

Since 1979, NOVA Inc. has created a culture of caring, providing vital assistance to Maricopa County residents suffering from substance abuse, homelessness and emotional/mental illness.  The 501(c)(3) is a recognized leader locally both in substance abuse treatment and as a homeless provider, featuring a number of residential and outpatient treatment options.

NOVA’s clients benefit from both residential and outpatient programs, treatment for mental disorders and addiction, guidance from professional counselors in overcoming psychological and emotional issues, alleviation of homelessness and assistance in combating any combination of these issues.

During the last fiscal year, NOVA worked to improve the lives of more than 3,000 Maricopa County residents.

Why Choose NOVA?

NOVA’s professionals embrace this culture of caring, and it’s not empty words – staff members really do care!  As NOVA CEO Steve Carter plainly states, “If it wasn’t for the individuals coming to us for services, none of us would be here.”
